Erin has a special interest in working with preschool and early school aged children with speech sound disorders including:
A lisp, or difficulties saying sounds like ‘s’ and ‘sh’
Speech that is late to develop
Speech patterns where the child leaves off sound or substitutes one sound for another
Speech that is hard to understand
Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS)
Assessment & Therapy
An assessment is recommended for all new clients starting at Ready Set Speech.
Erin will listen to your concerns and help you to decide if speech pathology is going to be beneficial for your child.
Assessments at Ready Set Speech always involve play. Play is essential for getting to know a child and ensuring they feel comfortable in the therapy environment.
If therapy is recommended, Erin will work with you to develop a therapy plan that is specific to your child. The type of therapy, frequency and duration of therapy is individual to each child and their family circumstances.
Fees & Funding options
Ready Set Speech is a private operated clinic and fees are payable for treatment sessions, assessments, and early education or school visits.
Erin provides the following services:
Private Fee for service (please contact us for a copy of our Fee Schedule)
NDIS funding - self-managed or plan managed clients only
Medicare Rebates (GP referral required)
Private Health rebates (rebates vary depending on health fund and extras)
NATIONAL DISABILITY INSURANCE SCHEME
The National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) is a nationally funded program to assist people with a developmental delay or diagnosed disability. If your child is eligible for NDIS, they will receive an annual funding amount to be used on services to assist your child reach set goals and promote independence. In your initial meeting with us, we will review and discuss your NDIS plan and set therapy goals for your child. We can also help you to apply for funding with the NDIS if you are requiring assistance with the process.

MEDICARE REBATES
Erin is a registered Medicare Provider.
A Chronic Disease Management Plan is a rebate for services for clients that have a chronic medical condition that has been present for more than six months. It consists of five (5) rebates per calendar year for combined allied health services, such as speech pathology, occupational therapy, and psychology. Please consult your GP to assess your child’s eligibility for this plan.
PRIVATE HEALTH REBATES
Private health insurance rebates may be available for your child. Please check with you individual fund regarding your eligibility.
